How Tanzanian Singer Juma Jux Spoilt His Nigerian Bride, Priscilla Ojo

Love has a way of finding us in the most unexpected places, and for Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and his Nigerian bride, Priscilla Ojo, their journey is nothing short of magical.

The celebrated artist and the beautiful daughter of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo have captured the hearts of fans across Africa with their whirlwind romance, lavish wedding ceremonies, and grand gestures of love.

From a chance encounter in Rwanda to an extravagant wedding in Tanzania, Juma Jux has gone all out to spoil his bride, proving that love, when nurtured, grows into something truly extraordinary.

Their love story began in the most unexpected way at an airport in Kigali, Rwanda. The star recalls that he had missed his flight and was frustrated when he saw Priscilla for the first time. As he walked past the business class section, he noticed her laughing at him. That brief moment of amusement would later lead to something neither of them had expected.

Though Juma was instantly drawn to Priscilla, winning her over was not easy. He took her number and asked her to text him, but she never did. Even when they met again, he reached out, and she still didn’t reply.

For a singer who was used to adoration from fans across East Africa, this was a new territory. But there was something about Priscilla’s confidence and mystery that kept him intrigued. He was determined to break through her initial hesitation, and as time passed and they continued meeting, he realized she was the one he had been waiting for.

The talented musician went on to prove his love in ways that left Priscilla, and everyone else, in awe.

Most men propose once, but Juma decides to take things to another level by proposing twice to his lovely bride. The first proposal was intimate and romantic — a private moment between them. But the second? A jaw-dropping surprise proposal in Lagos, Nigeria, in front of her family and closest friends.

Juma blindfolded the bride and led her to a rooftop setting where her closest family and friends were waiting. As she removed the blindfold, she was met with soft candlelight, fresh floral arrangements, and an atmosphere of love. The setting was nothing short of dreamy, with golden hues illuminating the night sky and delicate white roses adding to the ethereal ambiance.

Priscilla looked radiant, in a stunning metallic gold gown with a dramatic silhouette. The glossy dress featured a strapless design, a structured bodice, and a high slit on one side. She complemented her outfit with a small black handbag and gold heels.

Her makeup was flawless, with a dewy finish that enhanced her natural glow, subtly sculpted cheekbones, and glossy nude lips that added a touch of softness to her look. Her hair was styled to perfection, in a slicked-back low ponytail that framed her face beautifully.

The highlight of the evening was, of course, the dazzling diamond ring Juma presented—twice the size of the first one. The moment Priscilla laid her eyes on it, the excitement was evident. The massive gemstone sparkled brilliantly under the soft lights, symbolizing the grandeur of their love.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Juma shared his emotions, saying that he wanted to propose in front of her family and dearest friends with a ring twice the size. He wanted to show her that his love was boundless and that he was ready to commit to her forever.

Priscilla, overwhelmed by the love and attention, expressed her excitement online, thanking everyone for their support and playfully telling her followers that they were just getting started.

Their wedding has been nothing short of a royal affair, beginning with a stunning Nikkah ceremony in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Friday, February 7, 2025. In a beautiful tribute to her husband’s culture, Priscilla adopted the name Hadiza Mkambala, symbolizing her embrace of the traditions she was marrying into.

The influencer transformed into a true African queen for her Nikkah ceremony. She was stunned in not one but two breathtaking ensembles. Her first look was a mesmerizing golden floor-length gown, heavily embellished with intricate embroidery that shimmered under the lights. The gown featured a delicate cape and she had a matching head tie on to complement her dress. The gold tones complemented her glowing complexion, making her look nothing short of regal.

The Tanzanian singer, Juma, made sure to match his bride’s style. For the Nikkah ceremony, he honored his East African heritage by wearing a traditional Tanzanian Kanzu, a long, flowing robe that signified his cultural roots. The brown fabric was accentuated with white detailing, making him look every bit the distinguished groom.

For her second look, Priscilla chose a striking red sari with gold embroidery. The gown was tailored to perfection, hugging her figure in all the right places while still maintaining an air of modesty and grace.

She paired the look with bold gold jewelry—thick bangles, an elaborate necklace, and matching earrings that completed her royal appearance. She opted for a soft, yet defined look with perfectly arched brows, warm-toned eyeshadow, and a deep red lip that tied everything together beautifully.

If there was any doubt about how much Jux adored his bride, he erased it completely by dedicating a love song to her. He released a track titled “Si Mimi,” which featured intimate moments from their second proposal. The music video captured the depth of their connection, showing the world just how much she meant to him.

For the newly wedded groom, this wasn’t just a song—it was a heartfelt declaration of love. He shared that the song told the story of their journey together and was his special way of celebrating his wife. Fans couldn’t get enough of the romantic gesture, and the song quickly became a favorite, cementing their love story as one of the most talked-about celebrity romances of the year.

Just days after their extravagant traditional wedding, the couple took the next step in their love journey with a civil wedding ceremony. Priscilla looked stunning in a one-shoulder white dress adorned with delicate pearl details, paired with a fascinator and a bouquet of fresh flowers.

The groom, always stylish, opted for a classic black suit, crisp white shirt, and black tie, looking every bit the perfect groom. The civil wedding was a beautiful moment that sealed their union in the eyes of the law, marking the beginning of their forever.

Throughout the journey, Priscilla’s mother, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, was one of their biggest supporters. She took to Instagram to share her joy, welcoming Jux into the family with open arms and expressing her excitement for her daughter’s new chapter.

Her warm words showed just how much she approved of their love, making it clear that this was not just a union between two people but the joining of two families from different parts of Africa.

Juma Jux went above and beyond to ensure she felt like the most cherished woman in the world. From a surprise second proposal with a massive diamond ring to a stunning Nikkah ceremony, a love song dedicated to her, and a civil wedding to seal their love officially, he made sure every moment was unforgettable. His grand displays of affection — both private and public, proved that he was ready to love her deeply and endlessly.

As Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo plan for the next stage of their wedding ceremony, one thing is certain—the Tanzanian star will never stop spoiling his Nigerian queen. And for the rest of us? We can’t wait to see what romantic surprises he has in store next.
