Congratulations are in order for Ini Edo, who has been engaged and will soon make her way down the aisle.
The Nollywood actress is getting married to the love of her life but has yet to reveal her soon-to-be husband. However, this comes months after Ini Edo and IK Ogbonna have fueled serious relationship rumors with several social media posts and photos, proving the pair are dating.
This afternoon (Sunday, Sept 22), Ini Edo took to Instagram to share that she’s been engaged while announcing her upcoming “fairytale” wedding on 20 October 2024. The 42-year-old actress also revealed she met her fiancé six months ago during her vacation.
“That bright sunday morning 6months ago while on vacation, we crossed paths and our lives never remained the same,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing the traditional Ibibio wedding attire on Instagram. “Exactly 3 months later you asked me to be with you forever. How did i get so lucky? They say ‘your flaws are perfect for the heart that is meant to love you’ i now believe this whole heartedly.”
She continued: 1 of 3 done. My fairytale wedding is almost here.

At this point, it’s unclear who the lucky man hitching the actress is. However, upon checking Ik Obonna’s latest Instagram post, in which he shared a snapshot shortly after the actress’ wedding announcement, Ini Eno was quick to drop the kiss emoji in the comment. “OKEOSISI FOR A REASON 🔑💯,” Obonna captioned
Ini Edo and IK Obonna’s romantic relationship set social media abuzz earlier this year when the actress wrote a heart-melting birthday post to celebrate the actor’s 40th birthday, describing the Nollywood actor as “kind, sweet, loving, and brave.” Ogbonna, on the other hand, quickly responded by commenting on the post, writing: “Thanks ❤️. love you always.”
Although Ini Edo and Ik Ogbonna have been trying hard to keep their impossibly lowkey relationship off social media, neither of them has so far commented on whether they are dating.
Meanwhile, going by her hashtag on her post, “My Fairytale Wedding” is a limited series premiering on October 20 on Africa Magic. Ini Edo is said to be the lead cast in the rom-com, which will deliver “love, laughter, and a sprinkle of magic.” Other casts include Ramsy Nouah, Daniel Etim, Carolina Hutchings, Mercy Eke, Kanayo O. Kanayo, and more.
