We couldn’t just ignore Karl Lagerfeld’s garden, the kind of garden, perhaps, that replicate a paradise in a fashion show or Dior’s daring heels we would love to see on Victoria’s Secret angels. We’ve combed the Haute Couture spring/summer 2015 shows to bring you the amazing things we’ve loved a lot that you need to see.
1. Karl Lagerfeld’s Garden
Karl Lagerfeld decided to spend six months to make the 300 flowers that decorated this Chanel set . Each of them had its own engine, and when at the show’s start Baptiste Giabiconi applied a theatrical splash from a CC-branded watering can and they simultaneously burst into mechanical bloom, it felt like Spring 2515 in a world where the only life left was this small synthetic paradise. “Or maybe it’s a world that never existed in the first place,” Karl Lagerfeld mused afterward. 2. PLAYING LEGO WITH CHANEL
Once we’d got over the slightly alarming sight of Kris Jenner wearing see-through trousers (no, just no), we noticed she was carrying our beloved Lego clutch in its prettiest incarnation yet – sparkly monochrome. It also double-up as Jenner’s modesty preserver. Well, for £5,000+ you would expect it to do more than just carry things…
3. DIOR’S MIND-BOGGLING HEELS
How on earth did they get those latex creations at Dior on? Muchos talcum powder, we assume. Anyway, back to the point; check out those heels. Total shoe porn. But can it be worn outdoors?
4. YOU JUST HAVE TO LOVE THAT HAIR…
A bouncy blow dry will simply not do when it comes to Haute Couture, hence Master of Hair™ Guido Palau created the most remarkable hair at Dior. Metal hoops or colour-enameled chain links were looped into hair then given a faux ponytail to finich them off. While we doubt we’ll be able to try this one at home, we can enjoy looking at it.
