Yemi Alade Takes The Streets Of Paris In Bantu Knots And Puffer Jacket

Yemi Alade has stepped out in Paris in the chicest winter look, showing why she is a street style star.

The Afrobeat singer took to the streets, wearing a self-styled black and white outfit in new photos shared to her Instagram last night. In the pics, Yemi wears a long puffer jacket over a white turtleneck crop top, complete with leather trousers and matching block heels.

She finished the monochromatic outfit with a pair of sunglasses and a chain handbag in the same shade of black. One of the major highlights of the look is none other than her spiky, high Bantu knots with baby hair-inspired edges.

Prior to this, she gave a nod to the one-tone dressing trend, as she opted for nude separates, comprised of a jacket, skin-tight pants, and knee boots. Yemi accessorized the look with a pair of gold Africa-shaped earrings and brown-framed sunglasses that goes in tandem with her long, micro knotless braids.

With her affinity for African prints, it’s undeniably refreshing to see the 32-year-old Nigerian singer experiment with the Western style and completely nailed it. In her own words, “An African Girl In Paris,” she captioned one of the photos.

Yemi, who is the face of Hollantex, the manufacturer of the famous African prints fabric, once expressed her love for the fancy fabric, saying the color and patterns bring beauty to any design. “I enjoy wearing it, other than the fact that people associate the Ankara fabric to Africa, I feel joy wearing Ankara,” she said in an interview.
