The 20th day of October 2020 will ever remain unforgettable in the lives of Nigerians after the government of President Muhammad Buhari sent the Nigerian military into the streets to intimidate and kill the peaceful protesters who are asking for good governance as well as reform in the Nigerian police force.
On Tuesday evening, videos and photos started circulating on social media showing men in military uniform shooting at protesters who were gathering at the Lagos Lekki toll gate. Dozens of people have been injured and killed as authorities used force to halt the protests which have swept across the country. As a result, celebrities including Hilary Clinton, Rihanna, and Naomi Campbell are criticizing the president for his insensitivity.
“The souls of the departed will not be in VAIN!! NIGERIA STAND UP !! #ENDSARSNOW 💔🇳🇬🦅,” Naomi Campbell captioned the brutal video.

“I can’t bare to see this torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect nations across our planet! It’s such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by! It is unbearable to watch! I’m so proud of your strength and not letting up on the fight for what’s right! #ENDSARS.”
As for Hilary Clinton, she’s calling on Buhari to stop the killings of innocent protesters.
