Model Adut Akech has shared a series of sweet, never-before-seen pregnancy photos to celebrate her first Mother’s Day since becoming a mom.

In July 2024, the South Sudanese-born model announced she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Samuel Elkhier. A few months later, she revealed that she was expecting a baby girl on social media during a heartfelt baby shower celebration, where she stunned her fans with a big pregnancy photo.
For the occasion, Akech wore a long, shoulder-baring pink dress with pleat details, with pink and white balloon decorations serving as a beautiful backdrop. “Patiently waiting for you baby 🥹🤍🦋🧁🌸,” she wrote.

She gave fans a glimpse of the show as she strutted down the runway in a chic black and black monochrome look. “Happy to be back on the runway for @ralphlauren Fall2025 show ✨,” shared the model.
The new mom has also made her first major red carpet appearance when she attended the 2025 Met Gala. The model embodied the Black Dandy wearing a showstopping blazer dress that featured intricate embellishment and luxe feathery details.
Adut Akech accessorized the look with a statement Swarovski feathered necklace and matching pumps. Her hair was styled into a sleek low bun, while enhancing her black beauty with full face makeup.
