The year 2022 is wheeling to an end and Lupita Nyong’o is wrapping it up in a big way.
For the first time ever, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress has gone Instagram official, announcing her relationship with her boyfriend, Selema Masekela. The 39-year-old shared a cute video on social media that features herself and her beau taking the popular Instagram trend by snapping their fingers side by side to the beat of “The King’s Affirmation” in matching looks.
The video shows five clips of the couple having a moment, one of which they’re dressed in matching robe dresses and slides, followed by a clip of the Kenyan-born star in a 2-piece blue swim-suites while Masekela is wearing matching shorts. The couple also switched to formal attire with Nyong’o donning a long evening gown and mini dresses while the boyfriend suited up in vibrant colors.
In the affirmation of their relationship, Nyong’o captioned the video with a heart emoji followed by the hashtag #thisismylove. “We just click! 💘 @selema #thisismylove #nuffsaid.”

Selema Masekela who, according to the reports, is a TV host and sports commentator didn’t waste a single time as he shared the same video with the caption: “Hearts are synched. My whole and actual love @lupitanyongo. ❤️❤️❤️.”
His video was met with a series of comments praising the TV host for the stunning fashion moments as well as congratulating their relationship.

Another follower, Jamie Tworkowski also wrote in the comment section: “I’ve always hoped you would have an epic love story my man. So thrilled about this.”
Lupita Nyong’o is one who’s known to be keeping her dating life private. Although she was once rumored to be dating her Black Panther costar Michael B. Jordan in the past, the pair later denied it, with Nyong’o describing her relationship with Jordan as work-related.
“It’s flattering at the end of the day,” the Kenyan-American star explained to Entertainment Tonight at the time. “I think it’s such a rare thing to find people you have good chemistry with and too for us to find each other as actors and get to work together, it makes the work richer that we truly enjoy each other’s company on and off screen.”
But however it is, Lupita Nyong’o has made her true love public and she deserves nothing else but happiness.
