Lupita Nyong’o has officially found love again.
The Oscar-winning actress just confirmed her romance with actor Joshua Jackson in a PDA-filled beach getaway. The couple was photographed on Monday (March 4) vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they celebrated Nyong’o’s 41st birthday on an extended trip. The pair was photographed getting cozy on the beach, as Nyong’o showcased her swimwear body in a tiny bikini set while enjoying each other’s company.
In exclusive photos obtained by E! News, Nyong’o and Jackson were captured running into the ocean together with smiles on their faces. Another photo showed the couple almost kissing as they embraced each other seaside, clearly lost in the moment. Throughout their beach outing, they remained close, holding hands and enjoying leisurely strolls on the sandy shores.
According to a source close to the couple, they had eyes only for each other during their weekend getaway. They were constantly kissing, laughing, and having the best time. It is evident that their affection for each other is strong, and they are in a blissful period of their relationship.
“They vacationed in Puerto Vallarta for Lupita’s birthday,” the source told PEOPLE. “They only had eyes for each other all weekend. They kept kissing, laughing and just had the best time.”
This romantic connection between Nyong’o and Jackson came to light in October 2023 when they were spotted at a Janelle Monáe concert in Los Angeles. At that time, the couple appeared with other Hollywood friends, and their outing seemed platonic. However, given their recent beach escapade, it is clear that their relationship has become more than just friendship.

Both Nyong’o and Jackson were going through relationship transitions when they first connected. Jackson had recently split from his wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, who filed for divorce in early October. Nyong’o, on the other hand, announced her separation from Selema Masekela, her former partner, also in October.

In December, Jackson and Nyong’o seemingly confirmed their romantic relationship when they were photographed holding hands while exploring Joshua Tree, California. Their public display of affection and intimacy made it apparent that they were more than just friends.
It is worth noting that Jackson has a child, Juno Rose Diana, with his ex-wife Turner-Smith. Despite his previous marriage and fatherhood, he appears to have also found love and happiness once again with Nyong’o.
