We are a huge fan of Cardi B, not only because of her seasoned fashion takeover during the fashion week or her dramatic red carpet looks but because of her benevolence towards the coronavirus impact. The ‘Please Me’ singer is joining other philanthropists to donate 1 million in the fight against the novel COVID-19 but unlike other celebrities who are donating the money to charity organizations, Cardi is doing it in a very Cardi B way.
In partnership with Fashion Nova, the US rapper announced on social media that she’s giving back to the society following their support in her career. According to 27-year-old, there are people who are struggling to pay bills and feed their families in this challenging time.
The mother-of-one isn’t just going to release the bulky sum of money but she will be giving away $1000 every hour to an individual until the $1 million is completely discharged. As per the video shared on her Instagram, she also maintained that the recipients must be able to explain how the money will be useful as the winners will be selected based on their convincing power.
“Thank you guys for supporting me and @FashionNova, I teamed up with them to help those that have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic,” the singer wrote. “Many of you are struggling to pay bills, feed your families, and take care of your overall essential needs. #FashionNovaCARES & I are giving away $1,000 EVERY HOUR until we’ve given away $1 MILLION DOLLARS to those directly affected by this crisis. Tell us how the $1,000 can help you during these times. We’ll be reading your submissions and selecting stories every day so enter now by visiting www.FashionNova.com/Cares.”
Apart from the monetary donation, Cardi has also been committed in some other ways. According to a TMZ report, she visited some hospitals in NYC last week and donated 20,000 bottles of the vegan meal supplement drink OWYN, in her own way to show appreciation to healthcare professionals.
