When Toke Makinwa posted and raved on her picture on Instagram a couple of days ago, wearing a pair of slides adorned with a massive feathery faux fur, we were observing as to who else will be in for the fancy slides. Much to our surprise, Tiwa Savage jumped into it few days after and on Sunday, actress Lilian Esoro also slipped into it with a gorgeous Ankara dress.
This isn’t a joke, people — a new, comfy item of footwear has landed that celebs can’t get enough of and we’re predicting it to blow up sooner than expected. It’s from a Nigerian label, Vonne Couture, owned by one of Nigeria’s street style mavens — Yvonne Nwosu (remember her at the 2016 Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week?). With these slides, it’s fair to say she is taking her brand to new heights.
For the shoes, we like the fact that they’re somewhat youthful, eye-catching and the loud color has the ability to brighten any average look into one that is beyond striking. if you ask us, we think everyone should get a pair.
