Over the weekend, fashion enthusiasts including consumers, editors, industry insiders, and of course random show-goers assembled somewhere at the affluent area of Sandton, Johannesburg, to witness the 2017 version of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg and boy oh boy, the runway was fun, electrifying, very colorful and so African. Think prints, multicolored braids, and abundance of beautiful dresses.
And while designers like David Tlale, Quieteria George, and Orapeleng Modutle are already known for unimaginable designs, Spero Villioti, Marianne Fassler, and Shana Morland reinvented the sheer dress with ultra-modern details.
