Debuting its CB 2021 holiday collection “SLEIGH,” Christie Brown pulled out all the stops for a fashion show. With a DNA firmly rooted in the African heritage, Aisha Ayensu celebrated some of the silhouettes and designs from her past collections with ladylike ensembles with reimagined corset detailing and subtle cut-outs, redefining Christie Brown’s aesthetics for the 2021 holiday collection.
The show took place on Friday (December 17, 2021) in Accra on a not-so daring note with pieces that encapsulated a whole new meaning to the CB glamour: bare, bold, and chic. Models were outfitted in dressy and playful pieces including embroidered jackets, dress with back cut-out, peekaboo tee-shirt, asymmetric skirt, little black dress, wide-leg pants, shoulder-baring pieces, and lots more.
In what looks like the end of the show, the creative director Ayensu walked onto the catwalk with her lookalike daughter who was dressed in a white skirt and black t-shirt inscribed with “Africa Your Time Is Now” in bold white letters. She was followed by the creative team and models as the audience keep cheering on her.

Meanwhile, upon checking the brand’s website, some of the pieces from the new collection are already sold out.
