You could hardly talk about Cardi B without the thoughts of ‘Drama’ and the American rapper took things to greater heights last night when she hosted the 2021 American Music Awards. The show took place in Los Angeles with a star-studded line-up of performances which included Olivia Rodrigo, Carrie Underwood with Jason Aldean, BTS with Coldplay, Silk Sonic, and many more.
As her first hosting gig, the expectation was high and Cardi delivered, not only as the show emcee but sartorially. She basically turned the 2021 AMAs into her own epic fashion show with eight different outfit changes. The mother-of-two first arrived at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles in a head-to-toe look by Schiaparelli that consisted of a black gown, a black veil, a dramatic gold mask, gold earrings, and matching gloves.
Ahead, keep scrolling for more pictures of Cardi’s different outfit changes on the red carpet and on stage, and see how she transformed the award show into something of a memorable fashion show to make her hosting impression.
For her second look, Cardi switched into a high-slit creation from Alexandre Vauthier’s fall 2021 couture collection.
The singer wowed fans while hitting the stage to accept an award in the “Favorite Hip-Hop Song” category for her hit “Up.”
Her fourth look came with a sparkling silver detailing, teamed with shimmering fishnet tights.
There was also a dramatic purple look from Jean-Louis Sabaji’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection, featuring feathers and hand-embroidered Swarovski stones and crystals.
Corset top, anyone? Cardi made a serious sartorial statement in a corset top, dramatic headpiece, and necklace.
Like the couture fashion show, the 29-year-old stunned in a jacket worth coveting.
And for the final look, the WAP singer wrapped things up in this ethereal white ensemble.
