The Things To Get Rid Of From Your Wardrobe After A Breakup

Remember when Mariah Carey had to burn her wedding gown weeks after breaking up with her billionaire boyfriend James Packer? That was an obvious reason she needed to reset her brain and move on. Though we’re no relationship experts, but even a starter would tell you there is no breakup without unnecessary drama and the pains that follow afterward. It either you miss him/her for when the going was good or when he used to hold you in his arms on a chilly evening.

The point is, after a breakup, there are certain belongings that keep on reminiscing on the good and bad memories which likely hinder your chance of moving on. Many thanks to Who What Wear, now we know the best thing to do after a breakup. The online fashion magazine reached out to a dating coach, Bela Gandhi of Smart Dating Academy and she pointed out that you should banish ANYTHING that activates an emotion or reminds you of your past relationship.

She suggests “browsing through your closet and if there’s a piece that strikes up an emotion, I suggest to my clients to get rid of it. If something brings you pain and not joy, it’s important to remove it from your closet. When you don’t want to throw it away, you can donate, sell, or give the item to a friend. Finding another home for the emotional piece is key.”
