Clare Waight Keller Announced As The First Woman Creative Director At Givenchy

She was the creative director at Chloé for six years which she stepped down in January this year, but Claire Waight Keller has now been announced as the new head of creative design at Givenchy. She is succeeding Riccardo Tisci who exited the French fashion house in February after twelve years. The announcement was made this morning through the brand’s official Instagram page.

As the new creative director, Claire will be responsible for the brand’s womenswear and menswear collections, as well as the accessories, and there are speculations that her first collection will drop in October 2017. Claire is the first woman to ever hold such position at Givenchy.
