A 19-year-old mom, Alexis Brown is currently trending on the internet after creating an inspiring mommy-daughter outfit out of bed sheets. Brown, who’s based in Texas had just a little or clumsy sewing skills but with the aid of common sense, she was able to create a 2-piece for herself and a matching dress/ruched headband for her 9-month-old daughter Khloe from the floral bedding she found while cleaning out a closet at home.
“I realized how cute [the sheets] were, and I noticed that Khloe obviously thought the same by the excitement on her face, so I thought, ‘Why not make us matching outfits out of them?’” Brown told Cosmopolitan. “It was a simple yet super cute design.”

As Brown further explained, she had no previous sewing experience: “I had never sewn before, but to me, it came as common sense — next thing I know, I was making all types of things,” she said. “I would post little projects here and there on social media and my followers would tell me to start selling clothes because they’d love to buy them.”
Additionally, Alexis also revealed she was recently fired from her job which actually awakened her dead passion for fashion designing: “I didn’t get upset because I knew that that was God answering my prayers,” she added” So that same week [I was fired] I went and got everything registered and opened up my business Lex A’llure.”
