There’s always a red carpet fashion show somewhere!
Last night, the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards took place in Los Angeles, where the outstanding names in movies and television were celebrated. There were a number of famous faces in attendance including Nigerian-American actress and comedian Yvonne Orji who made her remarkable entrance in a dreamy rainbow dress by a Ghanaian-born designer Mimi Plange.
Photo Courtesy The green frock has a modern-day twirling effect, that came complete with fringes in various colors and features a plunging v-neckline with a dramatic shoulder-baring design. The look feels more breathtaking than anything Yvonne has worn this season, and given the eye-catching nature of the gown, the Insecure star kept the styling in tandem, opting for bright yellow heel sandals, red lips, subtle brown eye-shadow, and oversized gold earrings. She decided to stay true to her natural self as she sported her signature short hair.

As for the award, “Insecure” starring Issa Rae as the protagonist missed out to snag up the first position in the category of ‘Best Comedic Performance’ as Leslie Jones won the trophy for her role in “Coming 2 America.” Other movies that were nominated for the category include Schitt’s Creek, Bad Trip, and Ted Lasso.
