After her sold-out highly-anticipated Empress USA Tour, Yemi Alade brought a little glamour to the Earthshot Prize Awards last night in London. Alade wore a vibrant Ankara romper dress with a long train that sweeps the floor as she walks. She completed the beautiful number with a pair of studded matching heels, hoop earrings while opting for eye-catching red lips, and her unusual but cool bubble ponytail hairdo for the glam.
Yemi shared a series of snaps from the event, where she posed for a picture with English singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran. She joked about Sheran arguing about Nigerian jollof rice. “So @teddysphotos Started arguing about Ghanaian and Nigerian jollof 😆😅🤣😂(he hasn’t eaten Nigerian jollof yet oo ,the battle hasn’t been won),” the singer captioned the photo. “Sliide to watch video 🧑🦯🧑🦯.”

She also had a moment with the British actress, Emma Thompson, who wore a 3-piece green suit.

For the event, the Mama Africa joined other artists including Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, KSI, and Shawn Mendes to give a thrilling performance.
Last year, the Duke of Cambridge in collaboration with The Royal Foundation announced the inaugural Earthshot Prize, offering £1 million to five different environmental activists and entrepreneurs towards their initiative, from a shortlist of fifteen nominees. As per the Duke, the conservation effort is the “prestigious global environmental prize in history.”
Of course, the green carpet event was graced by the Duke, Prince William, along with his wife Kate Middleton, who showed off her slender frame in a lilac, floor-length Alexander McQueen gown.
