Tiwa Savage Mastered Menswear in a 3-Piece Beige Pantsuit

Tiwa Savage has never been one to play it safe, whether it is through her music, her personality, or her sense of style.

Over the years, she has become known not just as the Queen of Afrobeats but also as one of the most stylish African women in the world. Every time she steps out, people watch closely because they know it will not be an ordinary appearance.

This time, Tiwa gave us something bold, striking, and deeply sophisticated when she appeared in a custom tailored men’s suit from Elevensixteen, styled by Ugomozie, while stepping out in New York City.

The look itself was a masterpiece. The Afrobeats Queen wore a three piece suit made in a beige and tan plaid fabric. The trousers were cut wide, long, and flowing, creating the kind of movement that instantly draws attention when she walks.

The blazer was sharp and fitted, giving structure to her frame, while the oversized long coat draped over her shoulders added a dramatic flair. The coat made the whole outfit look like something straight out of a high fashion magazine editorial. Even though it was menswear tailoring at its core, it looked incredibly modern and stylish on her.

Underneath the suit was a crisp white shirt, classic and timeless. But it was the satin gold tie that took the outfit to another level. The tie brought in light and softness, breaking the seriousness of the suit with a touch of shine. It almost felt fluid, romantic even, and that little detail balanced out the strength of the tailoring.

Her shoes completed the look in the best possible way. Instead of wearing chunky or heavy footwear, Tiwa Savage chose pointed pumps in beige that matched the tones of her suit. They elongated her legs and kept everything sleek. It was a small choice, but it made the outfit remain chic and elegant instead of overly masculine.

The choice of accessories was also very telling. The music star kept things extremely minimal. No flashy jewelry, no distracting earrings or oversized necklaces.

Tiwa allowed the suit itself to do all the talking. A simple lapel pin was the only detail she added, just enough to give polish without taking away from the texture of the fabric. This level of restraint is rare in celebrity styling, and it showed the kind of confidence she has.

Her beauty look tied everything together seamlessly. Tiwa wore her hair cropped into a sleek pixie style, which echoed the clean lines of the suit. It was sharp, edgy, and fresh, the kind of hairstyle that makes any outfit look instantly more powerful. Her makeup was understated but effective. Defined brows, a soft smoky eye with fluttery lashes, and a muted lip shade gave her just the right amount of glam. The matte finish of her skin kept the focus balanced. She looked polished, elegant, and cool without needing bold colors or heavy accents.

Women in suits have always carried a special kind of message in fashion history. From movie stars like Marlene Dietrich in the 1930s to modern icons like Janelle Monáe, suits on women have always symbolized power, independence, and rebellion against the idea that femininity must always look soft or delicate.

By stepping out in a men’s suit from Elevensixteen by Ugomozie,  Savage adds herself to that list of women who use fashion as a tool to speak.

And for Tiwa, it is even more layered because she is representing Africa on a global stage. African fashion is often seen through a narrow lens, limited to traditional prints, bright colors, or glamorous gowns.

While those are beautiful in their own right, Tiwa is showing that African women can also embrace tailored suits, minimalism, and androgynous styling, and still be powerful, stylish, and globally relevant. She is not just following trends, she is setting them.

What stands out most in all of this is how Tiwa manages to balance contradictions. She blends masculine with feminine, structure with softness, minimalism with drama. She can wear an oversized men’s coat but still look undeniably feminine.

The music goddess can choose neutral tones but still command attention. She can keep her accessories simple and still look red carpet ready. That balance is what makes this look unforgettable.

This striking style moment arrives at a pivotal point in Tiwa Savage’s career. She has just unveiled her latest album, This One Is Personal; a deeply emotional and reflective body of work that reveals a more intimate, raw side of the Afrobeats Queen while sharing her story with the world.

True to form, she delivered nothing short of excellence, with the album already claiming the No. 1 spot on the UK R&B/Soul charts.

Just like her album, Tiwa’s recent androgynous look was personal. It carried her strength, her vulnerability, her elegance, and her voice.

It’s moments like this that prove why Tiwa Savage continues to stand at the center of African music and fashion, leading with both her voice and her vision.
