Solange Knowles Turned Underwear Into A Night Time Dress

Solange Knowles took the underwear as outerwear motif to a whole new level when she made her debut performance on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, wearing a white lingerie set which was topped with a custom netted crystal dress, and halo braided and hand beaded headpiece by artist Shani Crowe. As reported, it took Crowe over 40 hours to complete.

She carried the look to perform her “Cranes in the Sky,” a single from her highly acclaimed new studio album A Seat at the Table. Though the see through style left little to the imagination, but the underwear was just okay to support her modesty. According to the report, the revealing dress was designed by Erickson Beamon in collaboration with Swarovski, a look specifically requested by stylists Jason Rembert and Eric McNeal. All in all, we’d say Solange was quite smitten with the see-through costume.
