Rihanna never fails to amaze with her adventurous fashion choices, and her latest ensemble certainly sets a new standard.
At the launch party for Fenty x Puma, held in her homeland of Barbados, the talented singer and entrepreneur showcased a fun and fresh summer-ready look that inspires us all for the warmer months ahead.
Rihanna donned a striking neon green Heavy Manners bikini top, paired with a matching sheer maxi dress that featured a playful tutu-style ruffled skirt. This unexpected twist on the sheer trend highlighted her keen eye for fashion, bringing femininity and a sense of fun to the forefront. The ruffles along the hem added an extra flair, ensuring that all eyes were on her as she strolled into the event.
She layered her look with a deconstructed baseball jersey, completing it with her own Fenty x Puma sneakers, also in a striking lime hue, which perfectly tied the entire look together.
Rihanna’s attention to detail didn’t stop with her clothing alone. She accessorized her statement outfit with a Sabyasachi diamond chain link necklace, a piece that once graced Goldie Hawn on the red carpet at the Oscars 2025. This thoughtful accessory choice not only elevates her overall style but also showcases her sophisticated side.
Despite her undeniable confidence in fashion, Rihanna recently opened up about her insecurities post-motherhood. In a candid conversation with Interview Magazine for its spring 2024 issue, she shared the challenges of balancing her identity as a mother of two sons, Riot and RZA, while remaining true to her fashion-forward roots.
“I be feeling bummy as shit next to this man. I feel like, goddamn, I look like his assistant,” she humorously admitted, referencing her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. This self-reflection highlights the relatable struggle many women face when navigating their style after significant life changes.
Moreover, she also expressed her journey of relearning her love for fashion after becoming a mother during an interview with Bazaar.
“I feel like getting dressed is a fight on its own,” Rihanna said. “Everything is so … logical. What makes sense? What’s easy? What’s fast? I try not to overthink all that stuff, but you’re leaving the house. It kind of stops you from going out. How much energy do I have to put into getting ready? Doing my makeup, doing my hair, and then going to the closet and figuring out which three things in this entire room make sense together? You go through a fog. And fashion is so much fun, and I miss the fun.”
She continued: “Now I’m starting to just remember what I loved about it: the juxtaposition, putting the things together that don’t make sense. My fashion has always been driven by my mood, and my mood was on mom mode for a minute.”
