In case you haven’t noticed, lingerie has gone beyond a cozy night’s sleep or dressing up for someone special in the comfort of your bedroom. But in fact, you’ve got to be Rihanna to go out in sleepwear and still looking stylish.
Two days ago during the Fourth of July weekend, the singer and beauty mogul reminded us that she rules the style game while stepping out for a dinner at the Carbone restaurant in New York City. Wearing black lingerie for the occasion, the multi-hyphenate gave us an ultimate tip on how to dress up the sleepwear.

Layered strands of pearls that go all the way down to her knees, matching Manolo Blahnik pumps, a vintage Gucci bag, hoop earrings, and dramatic red lips finished the glamorous ensemble. Basically, this is the best reminder ever that lingerie makes a fashionable wardrobe staple and lest we forget — we’ve seen a number of celebrities stepping out their pajamas too.
