Rihanna Along With Jay-Z & Jack Dorsey Donates Additional $6.2 Million For COVID-19 Relief

When it comes to public service, Rihanna seems to be the one at the top. She was recently presented with the prestigious President’s Award at this year’s 51st annual NAACP Image Awards in February. While the award is specifically for those who are distinguished public servants, it was not a surprise that it was bagged by the singer.

Riri’s commitment towards saving the world knows no bounds and she has proven herself since the outbreak of COVID-19. Her initial donation of $5-million for the CONVID-19 relief efforts 3 weeks ago was awe-inspiring and now, the 32-year-old beauty isn’t stopping with her benevolence until it’s over.

According to a statement, Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation has collaborated with two other heavyweights — Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation, and Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall to donate another $6.2 million towards COVID-19 relief. The latest contribution will be split into various response efforts for the most vulnerable communities affected by the novel virus with a focus on New York, New Orleans, Puerto Rico, and some international communities.

“CLF, Twitter & Square CEO Jack Dorsey and JAY-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation (SCF) released $6.2 million in grants for COVID-19 rapid response efforts in the U.S and abroad,” said in a statement from Clara Lionel’s Foundation.

The statement was also shared on the organization’s official Instagram page, outlining the beneficiaries of the fund.
