We’ve seen Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia bonding at home, playing tennis, and even hanging out in matching dresses together. But we haven’t seen them gracing the red carpet in matching looks before.
Williams and four-year-old daughter, along with dad Alexis Ohanian, gave the world a sartorial treat on Sunday night when they all stepped out for the Hollywood premiere of King Richard. The family made their arrival looking red carpet ready with Williams opting for a bedazzled one-legged catsuit, featuring a sleeveless turtleneck and thigh-high silver studs. She went further to coordinate the black number with matching heels, opera gloves, a silver watch, and silver earrings.
Olympia, the little fashion icon in the making who was outfitted in a similar look completed with shimmering ballet flats, and a silver necklace. “Her beads. Her pose. That is all,” Williams praised the 4-year-old for her Instagram-worthy posture. “Last night we celebrated family style at the premiere of #KingRichard. I can’t wait for you all to see this movie. In theaters this Friday and on @hbomax.”
And of course, the father Alexis Ohanian was not left out as the Reddit cofounder kept things simple in a black suit with no tie.
This isn’t the first time Serena Williams and her adorable child are making headlines over their mom-daughter fashion moment. The 40-year-old usually share their cute snaps on Instagram and often enjoyed some mother-daughter moments.
While speaking to Bazaar in August, the tennis star talked about prioritizing self-care and family, and as well as maintaining a work-life balance
“Teaching myself that I need to make sure I have time for me, especially as a mom, that’s been really important, because moms tend to forget themselves and they focus so much on the child or on the family,” she said. “It’s so easy to forget you and say, ‘I don’t really care about me. I need to make sure everything else is going good.’ Trying to make sure I have a little Serena time [is essential]. If you’re not healthy and you’re not feeling good, you’re not going to be able to help anyone else.”
