Serena Williams Wore a Glamorous Armani Gown on the ESPY Awards 2024 Red Carpet

The ESPY Awards have seen their fair share of stylish hosts over the years, but none quite like tennis legend Serena Williams. Making her debut at the prestigious event, Williams made quite the entrance on the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 11, 2024.

Dressed in a custom black gown by Giorgio Armani Privé, Williams exuded elegance and glamour. The sculpted bra of her gown was intricately embroidered in twinkling gold, perfectly complementing the black column silhouette while the train of the gown was adorned with dazzling gold Swarovski crystals.

The attention to detail didn’t stop there. The back of Williams’s gown featured a V-cut silhouette that mirrored the embellishments on the front, creating a cohesive and stunning look from every angle. She paired the gown with star-like drop earrings that echoed the shimmer of her dress, adding a touch of sparkle to her overall appearance.

Walking the red carpet solo, Williams was later joined by her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. The family looked picture-perfect, with Alexis Jr. in a sweet shimmery pink dress and metallic gold sandals, and Ohanian in a classic black suit paired with blue Nike sneakers.

Williams’s red carpet look for the evening was nothing short of show-stopping. Her glamorous yet understated look was the perfect choice for a host, allowing her to command the stage while still letting the evening’s award-winners shine. Her blonde, old Hollywood waves added a touch of vintage glamour to the overall ensemble, completing the look with sophistication and grace.

To top it all off, the tennis champion chose a gold-chrome manicure by nail artist Sreynin Peng, perfectly matching the gold detailing on her gown. “Since she would have many looks throughout the night, we wanted to focus on her red carpet look for inspiration,” Peng said in a statement.
