Lupita Nyong’o is known for delivering show-stopping red carpet moments — and from bold colors to stunning silhouettes, she always made headlines. The Kenyan beauty was back at it again on Thursday as she graced the red carpet at the 2024 CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards.
Dressed in a dazzling gold Celine gown, Nyong’o exuded glamour and sophistication as she made her way onto the stage to accept the CinemaCon Star of the Year Award.

The spaghetti straps and cowl neckline added a modern flair to the gown, while the subtle mermaid skirt elegantly pooled around her feet.
Nyong’o opted for strappy silver sandals, oversized square eyeglasses, and dangly gold ear spike earrings to complement the stunning gown.

“My very first date was going to see a movie at the cinema in Nairobi, Kenya, where I grew up,” she said. “I was 16. Not only was I going out with this boy I liked for the first time, but I would be watching my crush Leonardo DiCaprio in none other than Titanic.”
She continued: “But that moment was so special to me. It was more than just a movie. It was an experience that shook me to the core that night. What I experienced firsthand was the power of cinema to transport us to another world, to make us feel things we never thought possible—like developing a fear of glaciers.”
