Halle Berry Wore a Jaw-Dropping Elie Saab Naked Gown For Red Sea Int’l Film Festival

In the realm of red carpet fashion, Halle Berry has consistently proven herself to be a trailblazer. With her latest appearance at the closing night of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Berry once again turned heads and stole the show with her jaw-dropping fashion choice.

For the momentous occasion, Berry chose to don an exquisite creation from Elie Saab’s Fall 2023 haute couture collection. The dress, a magnificent and ornate take on the popular naked dress trend, exuded sophistication and opulence from every angle.

The piece featured a mesmerizing and completely see-through mesh bodice, adorned with intricate embroidered designs in shimmering gold, silver, and black sequins. The meticulous craftsmanship extended from the high turtleneck down to the pointed shoulder pads and flowed seamlessly into the voluminous and floor-grazing skirt. It was a harmonious blend of historical influences, evoking the regality of Marie Antoinette while channeling the strength of Joan of Arc.

Berry wisely chose to let the dress do most of the talking, opting for a minimalistic approach to her overall look. She styled her caramel-colored hair in a neat updo, allowing curled wispy strands to delicately frame her face. Her makeup consisted of shimmery eye shadow and a glossy dark brown lip, enhancing her natural beauty and adding a touch of glamour.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Berry has chosen to collaborate with Elie Saab on such a stunning fashion statement.

At the 2002 Academy Awards ceremony, where she made history as the first and only Black woman to win an Oscar in the Best Actress category, Berry wore another iconic gown by the Lebanese designer. Similar to her recent choice, the gown showcased a semi-sheer look with a maroon mesh bodice intricately embroidered with brown floral and green leaf appliqués.
