Chase Infiniti’s Oscars 2026 Lavender Gown Took Over 750 Hours to Make
When Chase Infiniti arrived at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, 2026, she commanded attention.
At 23, already recognized for her roles in One Battle After Another and The Last Showgirl, the young actress approached her first major awards season with confidence. Her custom Louis Vuitton gown reflected this assurance: a pale lavender silk column with asymmetrical, multilayered waterfall frills cascading from the right shoulder, flaring at the hips, and finishing in a subtle train. The frills were designed to move independently, creating a dynamic effect that drew the attention of cameras.
The delicate, translucent lilac color was selected to stand out among the evening’s darker tones, offering a modern and refined look. Nicolas Ghesquière’s design featured clean lines, architectural asymmetry, and a neckline that highlighted her collarbones and a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace (part of a suite totaling over 60 carats from De Beers London). Coordinated drop earrings and a slim bracelet complemented the gown. Her hair was styled in a low chignon, and her makeup remained fresh and luminous, with dewy skin, defined eyes, flushed cheeks, and a mauve lip that subtly referenced the gown’s color.

Vogue described it as “a quiet revolution in pastel power”; ELLE highlighted the “waterfall frills that felt like couture origami”; Harper’s Bazaar noted the gown “made softness look dangerous”; and WWD praised its “masterful asymmetry that turned a column silhouette into something kinetic.” Social media compared the gown to early-2000s red-carpet moments, but Chase’s interpretation was distinctly current—understated yet memorable in a season dominated by bold embellishments.
The decision was intentional. Over the past two years, Chase Infiniti has transitioned from independent films to major studio projects, earning recognition for her versatility and distinct presence. Her 2026 awards-season appearances have reflected this duality: sculptural black at the SAG Awards, metallic gold at the Critics Choice, and now this lavender gown at the Oscars. Each look balanced editorial style with red-carpet appeal, allowing the garments to enhance her presence.

Ghesquière and his team partnered with Chase and stylist Zerina Akers to create a gown that honored the brand’s signature tailoring and draping, while providing a silhouette that felt natural to her.
The waterfall frills were hand-cut and pleated, and the silk was selected for its fluid drape and subtle sheen. The gown photographed well from every angle, offering elegance from the front, drama in profile, and a low back that balanced the design.

The De Beers London suite, designed with Tiffany & Co. stylists, featured an 18-carat pear-cut diamond pendant surrounded by smaller stones that echoed the gown’s frills. The pieces were lightweight yet visually impactful. Simple drop earrings and a slim diamond bracelet completed the ensemble.
Her presence on the carpet was calm and composed. She smiled naturally, responded thoughtfully to questions, and moved with practiced grace. When photographers requested she turn, the frills moved fluidly, creating a dynamic visual effect reminiscent of performance art.
On a night filled with bold designs, Chase Infiniti’s lavender gown at the Oscars 2026 stood out by its understated elegance. The gown, jewelry, composure, and nomination combined to convey a clear message: she is not just arriving, but defining how she will be remembered.
