Ayo Edebiri Looks Very Glamorous in a Colorful Sequined Gown at the 2024 Emmys

When it comes to red-carpet appearances, few can rival the flair and elegance of Ayo Edebiri, an actor who has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most stylish figures.

At the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, held at the prestigious Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, Edebiri made a dazzling entrance that captured the attention.

Her outfit—a stunning, custom-made gown by the luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta—combined a unique laser-cut and 3D print design process with vibrant colors, reflecting her personality and growing status in the entertainment industry.

The strapless gown featured a thigh-high leg slit with shimmering red, yellow, and black sequins. The form-fitting silhouette highlighted her statuesque frame, while the strapless neckline added a touch of glamour to the ensemble.

Accessorizing with tiny hoop earrings with sculptural silver pendants, and a pair of black heels, Edebiri exuded poise as she posed for photographers and greeted fans. Her hair was styled in loose, cascading waves that framed her face beautifully, and her makeup was flawlessly executed, with a brown lip and smoky eye enhancing her natural beauty.

Ayo Edibiri was, however,  nominated for her performance as Sydney Adamu on FX’s The Bear in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

The actor won her first-ever Emmy at the 2023 ceremony in January, in which she snagged up the award in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her historic win marked the third win ever in that category for a Black woman, following Jackée Harry’s win in 1987 and Sheryl Lee Ralph’s in 2022.

“This is a show about family—found family and real family—and my parents are here tonight! I’m making them sit kind of far away from me because I’m a bad kid,” Edebiri joked in her acceptance speech at the time.

“I love you guys so much. Thank you so much for loving me and letting me feel beautiful and Black and proud of all of that. I love you so much. It’s probably not a dream to emigrate to this country and have your child be like, ‘I wanna do improv!’ But you’re real ones.”
