Every year, the Global Citizen Prize holds an award ceremony to celebrate and honor the achievements of activists around the globe who help shape culture in inspiring ways through Music, Arts, Film, and Fashion.
This year’s award ceremony which marked its fifth edition took place in New York City and we had no other than the beautiful and delectable Nomzamo Mbatha, a South African Actress and Activist hosting the event.
The 32-year-old actress appeared at the ceremony in a dazzling yellow strapless dress by Tonyward Couture, which was styled by Kirsten McGovern. This look was a very simple non-extravaganza but was definitely an attraction and did turn many eyes, thanks to the bright yellow hue.
With its strapless silhouette, the South African beauty chose a simple strap attached to the yellow number that also served as the beautiful adornment. This attachment also matched the style of the double hoop earrings she wore to the event.
Nomzamo added an array of silver, gold, and black wrist chains across her two wrists with a gold and silver ring. We could see that her stylist intentionally paid attention to the little details to bring up that glamorous look.
The “Coming 2 America” star is known for her taste in bright and bold colors as this isn’t her first time to sport a yellow number.
Although she’s the best at what she does, the actress expressed her anxiety to the press before taking the stage and according to the star, she’s excited to host the annual ceremony.
“I’m really honored to host this year’s award ceremony, at the same time I’m nervous, nervous because I care about the guests that would be in this ceremony, nervous because I want everyone to have a great time this evening after a year of the excellent and tedious work they’ve struggled to accomplish”
Well, with that killer outfit, she pulled off. I’m pretty sure she didn’t have to worry because that was an attractor to the audience and the public eye in general.
