Michelle Obama Wore Her Go-to Dress For Award Event

We all have our go-to outfits that we so rely on — the ones that you don’t have to think about twice and with little or no effort when putting on, you instantly feel your inner queen. If you’ve been paying a close attention to Michelle Obama’s style, it’s easy to tell her go-to choice is none other than the one-shoulder gown. Michelle has over the years wowed onlookers with her one-shoulder streak — from the white chiffon one-shoulder Jason Woo gown she wore for her inaugural ball in 2009, her royal blue one-shoulder gown by Peter Soronen in 2010 to her purple one-shoulder gown by Korean-American designer Doo.Ri and the off-white ball gown by Naeem Kham that she wore during the 2016 state dinner for Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

On Sunday, the former First Lady proved her love once again for the shoulder-baring silhouette while attending an award event with the former POTUS in Boston. The former FLOTUS chose a clingy blue dress featuring a flattering asymmetrical neckline and a cape-like sleeve draping over her right shoulder, styled with dangling earrings and a subtle makeup. While her dress at first glance gives off some glam vibes, we love the fact that with or without the White House, the former FLOTUS continues to show her style prowess.
