It’s obvious since Meghan Markle came into the spotlight she’s been melting hearts (everywhere) for her endless supply of fashion inspiration, and of course, her latest outfit is a reminder that a bright color is guaranteed to distinguish you from the crowd. The Duchess of Sussex has been one of the main purveyors of neutral colors since her royal wedding but while attending a Commonwealth Youth event yesterday in London, the former Suit actress decided to experiment something unusual, looking like the queen of the universe in an outfit that was literally as bright as the sun.

She wore a midi, sleeveless sheath dress by American designer Brandon Maxwell which she completed with a pair of nude pumps. As the designer who spoke with Elle puts it, “when I first saw Meghan in our ss18 yellow sheath dress, I immediately felt so proud. She looks beautiful and I’m thrilled that she chose Brandon Maxwell for this occasion.”
