Let’s face it, everything Beyonce does is good. But her performance last night at the 2022 Oscars was particularly good.
The super singer delivered a beautiful rendition of her song “Be Alive,” a single masterpiece that celebrates blackness which was released in 2021 for the film, King Richard. The song was nominated for Best Original Song at this year’s ceremony and Queen Bey skipped the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where the event took place, to dazzle the audience with her troupe of backup dancers at a tennis court in Compton (according to the reports) — a tribute to Venus and Serena Williams who were coached by their father as young girls decades ago.

For the performance, the 40-year-old star dressed to shine in a neon yellow mini gown by David Koma, featuring trimming feathered bodice and thin spaghetti straps. She color-coordinated the look with gloves in the same hue adorned with a diamond-encrusted garter bracelet. She also wore shimmering, matching round-shape earrings, which were highlighted by her signature hairstyle.
After the awards session, Bey attended the Oscars 2022 ceremony but this time around, she opted for a more eye-catching hue, wearing the sunshine daffodil yellow ensemble with a matching taffeta cape and gloves, complete with 150-carat waterfall earrings.

The last time the mother-of-three performed on a stage was in February 2020 when she sang during the funeral to honor the NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi, who lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash.
