The drop of Yemi Alade’s latest music video for ‘Rain,’ a musical collaboration between the Nigerian singer and Mzansi Youth Choir, offered not only a cinematic narrative (We are we are we are we are one people under sun), but also some of the hottest fashion moments to grace our phone screens as we watch. From a breathtaking and sophisticated blue dress to a white sheer gown and lots of East African-inspired wardrobe pieces, some of which are dripping in fringes, we’re always guaranteed something special whenever Yemi Alade is dropping a new single.
In the four minutes of uninterrupted display of talent for which the singer dressed quite fashionably, she worked with Kenyan celebrity stylist, Wambui Thimba, and Victor Adika, a Kenyan fashion designer who outfitted the singer with gorgeous African prints dress.

Yemi Alade looked gorgeous in this very pretty Ankara style. We love everything about it. The vibrant prints, the furry detailing placed on the shoulders, and of course, the super thigh-high slits. Yemi further completed the look with an African-inspired red headpiece that’s fit the queen, along with crimson red lips and pink eyeshadow.
