Tyla is a Dream in this Archival Dior Pearl-Embellished Gown
Tyla has always been that city girl with a covetable wardrobe.
She’s worn countless looks that sent us to overdrive, and just last week, she took her fashion prowess to the Glamour U.K. Women of the Year Awards, making a bold statement in a one-of-a-kind jacket covered in mussel shells created by London-based designer George Trochopoulos. The stunning piece was another addition to her beach-inspired fashion journey, which has included notable looks such as the “Water”-inspired, wet-look gown by Di Petsa and Olivier Rousteing’s custom Balmain sand dress from the iconic Met Gala.
On November 4, during the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in the U.S., Tyla showcased her adventurous spirit in fashion once again. This time, she paid homage to the classic beauty of vintage couture, stepping out in an extraordinary gown that seemed to be plucked straight from the dreams of fashion aficionados. The mossy, mermaid-worthy gown, richly embellished with pearls, was sourced from New York City’s Vintage Heritage—known for curating some of the rarest and most sought-after vintage designer pieces.

Created under the visionary direction of John Galliano, the gown was part of the iconic collection titled “In a Boudoir Mood.” Crafted from luxurious sage-green silk, the highly coveted design exemplifies the theatrical essence of the collection, seamlessly merging the worlds of lingerie and haute couture.
The dress features an exquisite design with asymmetrical sleeves, one crafted from a single strand of pearls and the other a striking beaded cap-sleeve masterpiece. With diagonal lines of delicate embroidery, the gown envelops the body in enchanting splendour, catching the light with every movement to create a dazzling effect.

Now, the dazzling piece has transcended time, reincarnating itself as a staple of fashion history, one that Tyla has truly made her own.
Tyla wore the look with an eye-catching long pearl-and-chain necklace from Pandora, which she wore in a bold choker style. Styled by Ron Hartleben, the entire look was elevated by Dacorri platform sandal pumps that harmoniously amplified the greens of the dress that turned heads and delighted onlookers.
