Rihanna Gives a Refreshing Maternity Style in a See-Through Bra and Polkadot Tie

There’s no slowing down for Rihanna when it comes to updated maternity style.

She continues to redefine what pregnancy fashion looks like while captivating audiences with her bold and refreshing style choices.

This past Saturday night, she showed off one of her own designs from Fenty during an elegant dinner outing at Giorgio Baldi. The pregnant powerhouse opted for a chic, daring look featuring a sheer black bra that emphasized her growing baby bump. Layered with a silky black blazer and matching slacks, Rihanna perfected the balance between sophisticated chic and playful allure.

She completed the look with a playful blue-and-white polkadot tie that added a whimsical touch. The ensemble was further elevated with various gold necklaces that held sentimental value; two of which featured the names of her sons, Rza and Riot Rose. Diamond stud earrings and a chunky gold ring rounded out the outfit, highlighting Rihanna’s knack for combining personal significance with high fashion.

Rihanna has always approached her pregnancies with a liberated attitude towards fashion, challenging traditional norms of maternity wear. Her previous styles during her earlier pregnancies showcased an empowered and sexy vision, and this current phase is no exception.

In mid-July, she was spotted in Santa Monica donning a sculptural all-white set featuring a sequin skirt from Alaïa’s summer-fall 2025 runway. She paired the look with a custom white hooded knit crop top and pointed-toe shoes, as she continued to push the boundaries of what pregnancy fashion can entail.

Reflecting on her journey, Rihanna shared insights in an interview with Bustle in March 2022, discussing her rebellious attitude towards dressing during her first pregnancy. “When I saw women dress during their pregnancy [in the past], I’d think that that was the only way,” she remarked, emphasizing her desire to carve a unique path through her own fashion narrative.

“So I challenged myself to push it further and really just have fun with [maternity style]. Because there’s nothing more fun than a challenge for me. Like that’s where I get creative. That’s where I’m forced to come up with new ideas and new ways to make it work,” she added.

“It’s been me personally saying, ‘I’m not going to buy maternity clothes. I’m not gonna buy maternity pants, jeans, dresses, or [do] whatever society told me to do before.’”
