Less is more when a Zulu groom marries a Zambian bride. This Zambian bride’s gorgeous wedding took place yesterday and even though it was a transcultural ceremony with no dress code, the bride’s laid-back wedding dress really stole the show. While the groom casually threw on a button-down shirt, a pair of pants and leopard skin with its headband — a tradition Zulu people are known for, the bride, on the other hand, was decked in colorful prints.
For her fairy-tale moment, the Zambian beauty chose a nipped waist Ankara dress that featured a sheer, long sleeved top and a structured peplum waist. As for the perfect finishing touches, the bride accessorized her look with a pair of slide sandals, massive hoop earrings, gold bangles and a chic headwrap atop her head. We’ve seen a handful of African traditional weddings, and we have to admit this was the simplest of its kind, which just goes to show how a little goes a long way. She was immediately inducted into her new Zulu culture which comes with a quick change of attire. Keep scrolling to have a feel of the outfits.
