We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, the year 2017 is really a creative year and bridal designers have not been left out.
It was the 13th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress, where ten women finalists out of 1,517 entrants competed to win a grand prize of $10,000 by conjuring up dresses with the use of only toilet paper. According to the reports, the contestants were allowed to have access to glue, tape, and thread if need be.
Speaking about the competition, the co-founder of the contest, Laura Gawne, affirmed the motive of the event was to rival couture designs. “We look for creations that look like real wedding gowns that rival couture designs,” she said. “But, of course, they’re made out of toilet paper.”
However, after the 10 finalists presented their creations on the runway, Kari Curletto was crowned the winner of the 2017 competition. And her design was, of course, over the top. Kari dreamed up a beautiful wedding gown that featured a 6-foot detachable cathedral train and it was looking so real. Keep clicking to see the gowns:
