Kevwe and her now-husband, Rotimi, recently tied the knot at the stunning Castell de Sant Marçal in Spain, a magical location that held special meaning for the couple.

Having been engaged in front of the Castello di Amorosa, a winery in Calistoga with a 14th-century medieval castle, the bride knew this enchanting venue was the perfect backdrop for her dream wedding. The bride had always fantasized about creating a timeless and royal atmosphere for her special day, and she wanted her gown to reflect that vision.

As a fashion designer herself, she saw her wedding dress as an incredible opportunity to showcase her creativity and design skills. She opted to design her own dress, a strapless ivory duchess silk column gown adorned with over 40,000 intricate beads. But it wasn’t just the gown itself that made a statement – Kevwe also included a ten-foot cape with pearl embellishments, adding drama and flair to her look.

“I am very inspired by 90s fashion and really wanted to have a beaded column dress with an exaggerated cape or train,” Kevwe to Brides. “I have been designing suits and jewelry through my brand, Koviem, for years and thought this would be an amazing way to personalize my wedding even more!”

Creating her own gown allowed the to infuse her personal style and aesthetic into every aspect of her bridal look. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of the gown showcased her passion for fashion and her desire to create something truly exceptional for her big day.

To complete her look, she carefully selected accessories that complemented her gown’s design.
