After months of anticipation and keeping internet abuzz following their sensational engagement news in May, Actress Adesua Etomi and ‘Lagos Party’ singer Banky W finally, and well, traditionally got married somewhere in Lagos Yesterday. It was truly another Lagos party because everyone, including dozens of celebrity friends, actors and actresses came out to watch not only how the newest couple share their first public kiss but to see those pretty wedding dresses in real life:
Upon arrival, Adesua was every bit of a traditional bridal perfection that we imagined–and then some. While her look was completely a tribute to her tribal culture, it was also incredibly chic and modern. The actress arrived wearing a spectacular heavily embellished dress created by Toju Foyeh. Her face was covered with a delicate matching tulle veil which Banky was very proud to unveil. As custom demand, the bride’s neck, as well as her hair and wrist, was also decked with a bunch of heavy bead necklaces and bangle:
Given Etomi’s simple but understated style and girl-about-town persona, we didn’t expect anything less. To say the least, the decor was elegantly romantic finished with a soft girly hue and even their cake was Instagram-worthy. And guess what? She really came to stage a fashion show with 3 other stunning outfit changes:
