The first annual Fashion Trends Report that generated over six million search queries gathered by Google between January 2012 to February 2015 reveals the fashion terms that are becoming more popular, and in which parts of the country. Though the report did not specify whether searchers eventually bought the items they were looking for, search data could be a powerful tool for fashion labels when coming up with new collections.
In the report, trends like normcore, peplum dresses and corset dresses are on the decline as well as several other trends that showed sustained growth – meaning they will become the biggest trend soonest.

Tulle Skirt:
The Google search claims tulle skirts is on a huge rise. That means you don’t have to be a ballerina to wear a tulle skirt. Tulle skirts are growing in popularity during the spring fashion – up 34% from January 2014 to January 2015.
According to Google, the tulle skirt is making its way across the US. Shoppers are yearning for this skirts in all hues, including rainbow. But the the most popular is Black and White.
Though top searches indicated that shoppers are not only looking for the skirt, but they’re learning how to DIY them, with more than 20,000 tulle skirt video tutorials views on YouTube. That’s interesting.
Jogger Pants:
One thing Jogger pants trend is that anyone can wear. The top searches came from Jogger’s pants for men, women, boys, girls, and even toddlers, indicating mass appeal for this apparel item.
Mini Skirts:
Midi skirts are making huge comeback in 2015. The skirt is a trend that was revived from 1960’s, and resurfaced back in the U.K. in 2013. They’ve grown nine times in popularity, though people are confused about how to pull them off; searches for “how to wear” them are also on the rise.
Waist Trainers:
Waist trainers are also on the rise as well, maybe, because of Kim Kardashian. Celebrities are now making it a must-have item which we assume can train your waist to be smaller – but Doctors says it doesn’t work.
