Naomi Osaka is the latest mom on the internet!
The tennis star has given birth to her first child with boyfriend Cordae. According to a report by People, the 25-year-old four-time Grand Slam singles champion welcomed a baby girl in Los Angeles, and both the new mom and the baby “are doing well,” says an insider.
Back in January, Osaka announced to her legion of fans on social media that she was pregnant. In the lengthy Instagram post, the new mom hinted at her pregnancy journey with a photo that showed the ultrasound of her baby.
“These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to,” she shared in the social media post. “I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’, haha. 2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024. Love you all infinitely.”
Following the pregnancy announcement, she further revealed in June that she was expecting a baby girl after sharing photos from her princess-themed baby shower titled: “A Little Princess is On The Way.” The baby shower was decorated with pink and purple balloons, flowers, and all cute props perfect for a “Little Princess.”
For the occasion, Osaka dressed just like a chic pregnant tennis star, showcasing her burgeoning baby bump in a cropped jersey top with baggy pants, coordinated sneakers, and a baseball cap. In the last slide, her boyfriend could be seen throwing a kiss on her big belly.
Congratulations are in order!
