Every day is Mother’s Day and if you don’t believe us, ask Yemi Alade. The Nigerian Afrobeat singer is her mother’s muse and she’s been gushing about the lookalike mom on social media, leaving fans in a jealousy-induced state.
It’s no big surprise though, because as per the 34-year-old star, her mother is everything. In a gorgeous and emotional photo posted to her Instagram this morning (August 2), Alade gave fans a glimpse into her relationship with her mother whom she dubbed “The Queen of My Heart.”
“Some Day I’ll write a book about you Mum,” the Johnny singer captioned a photo of herself and her mother hugging emotionally on social media. “You taught me the importance of God and handwork, and I watched you practice it every day. I am who I am today because of your Victories ❤️. The Queen of My Heart .”
The sweet mother-daughter photograph triggered hundreds of lofty comments from friends and fans, some of which posted the heart-shaped emoji. Here, Yemi wears a green raffia fringe dress with purple and red balayage hair while her mother wore a sweatshirt with blue denim pants and a long bob-cut hairstyle.
She continued the well-deserved celebration by adding more photos of her mother in the carousel — from the photo of the quinquagenarian posing inside a car to the one she’s lounging on a sofa and of course, the photo of which the mother and daughter are bonding together.
This comes just a few days after the Nigerian artist posted a photo of the mother fussing over her. Alade can be seen in the snapshot seated in front of the mother while she’s styling her curly braids.

It’s no doubt the Afropop singer is a true embodiment of mommy’s girl. In fact, we can hardly keep count of how many times Yemi Alade celebrated her mother, proving that every day should be Mother’s Day.
