Lupita Nyong’o has been making headlines since her arrival in Nigeria a couple of days ago. From attending major dinner parties to dancing with her Nigerian counterparts and celebrating her birthday in Lagos, it’s been one of the highlights of the month.
But if there is one thing that really had tongues wagging was the way the Hollywood star fell in love with Nigerian fashion brands and how she wore them like a true Nigerian. Nyong’o sported several looks but the outfit she wore with Chimamanda Adichie had two little girls inspired.
In the photo, the duo can be seen wearing the same design of a one-shouldered jumpsuit in different hues, featuring an exaggerated billowing sleeve, where Nyong’o finished with a metallic stiletto while Adichie opted for heel sandals.

Their mother, Funke Mapaderun posted pictures of her adorable kids on social media wearing the looks. Their version is exactly the same as the dress Chimamanda and Lupita Nyong’o wore and the sweetest thing is how the cuties also wore similar fringe braids like Nyong’o, as well as Adichie’s pull-back bun.

May we know them? May we be them? May we raise them? Happy International Women’s Day!”
The photos have since gone viral and based on the actress’ take on the outfits, they nailed it effortlessly. “Nailed it!! So adorable, @LeahVictoriah. 💚💜,” the Kenyan beauty wrote on her social media. Adichie in affirmation also reposted the same picture with a caption: “Absolutely adorable!“
