Omotola Jalade and her husband Capt. Matthew Ekeinde’s relationship appeared to wax stronger than ever before as they loved up in a bedroom photo and put up a cozy display to celebrate their 27 years wedding anniversary.
It has been 27 years since Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade and her husband, Matthew Ekeinde tied the knot, and the couple looks more in love than ever.
To celebrate their special day, the actress took to social media to share a beautiful bedroom photo of herself and her husband. In the photo, the loved-up couple can be seen cuddling up while laying on the bed.
Omotola, who’s also seizing the opportunity to celebrate her husband’s birthday wrote in the caption: “Happy birthday my Firever HoneyBoy… And…Happy Anniversary to us.”
At 45, the actress’s children are all grown up with the youngest being 21 years old. She jokingly wrote in the caption there’s no more parental guidance for all of her four children. “27 years and we only just just about to get into phase 2 ! Last kiddo now 21… no more PG …. Ready Love? ♥️ U Endlessly. 💋,” the actress added along with hashtags such as: “#Peaceful #Happy #27.”

The couple’s anniversary celebration comes along with Capt. Matthew getting a tattoo of his wife’s moniker on his shoulder. In the photo, you could also see the husband being inked with Omotola’s nickname “Omosexy” on his shoulder to show his undying love for her.
While some people might think getting your partner’s name tattooed is a bit extreme, for the Ekeindes, it is just a representation of the unending love and affection they have for each other.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1992, is one of the longest-standing married couples in the Nigerian entertainment industry. They are blessed with four children — two boys, and two girls.
Over the years, they have faced their fair share of challenges but they have always come out stronger. However, it is clear that after 27 years, the love between the actress and her husband is still very strong. They are a true inspiration to couples everywhere and show that even after many years, it is still possible to maintain a happy and healthy relationship.
Back in 2021, Omotola Jalade spoke candidly in an interview about her marriage and attributed her blissful partnership with her husband to understanding.
“We are partners alright and I have a journey, I chose to make that journey with you,” she captioned her interview on Instagram. “You have a journey, I chose to make that journey with you. With or without you, I will make my journey. With or without me, he will make his journey.”
She continued: “So we both understand that I’m with you is not because I have to be with you. I’m with you because I choose to be with you. He’s with me because he chooses to be with me. So we respect each other’s choices, each other’s space, and each other’s wholesomeness.”
