Naomi Osaka will soon be a mom!
The 25-year-old Japanese tenis player has announced that she’s pregnant and expecting her first child. In a post shared on her Instagram page last night, the four-time Grand Slam champion hinted at her pregnancy journey along with a photo of an ultrasound of her baby with an obvious description of the exciting news.
“The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that its the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun,” she shared while adding that life is too short to be wasted.
“These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to. I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’, haha. 2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024. Love you all infinitely.”

She ended the elusive announcement with a “sidenote,” saying that “I don’t think there’s a perfectly correct path to take in life but I always felt that if you move forward with good intentions you’ll find your way eventually.”
The post has received hundreds of congratulatory messages from friends, fans, and big brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Nike, and more.
Although the tennis star is yet to reveal the identity of the child’s father, she’s linked with a 25-year-old American rapper and singer, Cordae Amari Dunston (a.k.a Cordae), with whom she’s been romantically involved since 2019. Osaka and Cordae have also made public appearances on different occasions, one of which is their fabulous 2021 Met Gala appearance.
