There are many who wondered how Lupita Nyong’o stay in shape, and we are happy to discover that it’s none other than practical yoga exercises. The 34-year-old beauty is Vogue’s magazine January cover girl and on the cover images, the Academy Award winner showed off her Yoga skills, where she maintained the balance of poses that build strength, stamina, and flexibility. She even told Vogue that she likes working out extensively because flexibility helps her stay ‘fluid and open’.
Naturally, it’s easy to get distracted by her postures but our favorite has got to be the tree pose, where the actress appears to balance on a paddleboard with one leg while her hands are in Namaste position. For the cover, Nyong’o slipped into some kind of a reworked silver embellished bodysuit. She kept her plaited while sporting tiny earrings.
In the accompanying interview, the actress talked about her new move ‘Marvel flick Black Panther,’ where she revealed that her “character fights with anything: guns, spears, ring blades, shoes, glass.” and for that reason, she had to undergo ‘mixed-martial-arts training and spent up to four hours a day for six weeks in boot camp with her castmates.’
