While COVID-19 has really shaken the world, causing panic and economic crisis everywhere, Ghanaian actress, Bibi Bright knows the most vulnerable are the less-privileged. She knows these families will be hit hard. She also knows that these people are the most neglected.
Already, Ghana is one of the most affected countries in the region with a record of 313 cases. A countrywide lockdown order was, however, announced with businesses shutting down immediately. But as the new reality began to take its shape, the actress is one of the many who’s been physically committed to stopping the spread of the disease, stepping up to demonstrate philanthropy and providing assistance to those who need it during this trying time.
From the pictures shared by the actress on social media, she volunteered to join Corporate Ghana, a private initiative catering to the needy. According to Bright, she’s carrying out her indigenous responsibilities as a Ghanaian.
“As part of my responsibilities as a Ghanaian, I joined Corporate Ghana to distribute 8000 packs of hot meals to the less privileged in some parts of Accra,” the 34-year-old shared on Instagram. “We will be doing this every day till the lockdown is over. Together we will survive this. God bless Ghana.”
