Everyone Is Wearing Pillow as a Dress on Instagram

The boredom surrounding the lockdown is driving people crazy and social media is the only playground where everyone tends to resort to. From Instagram, Twitter to Tik Tok, we’ve seen different variations of fun-filled challenges where people partake in to pacify their grievances.

Of course, you already know the bugging #dontrushchallenge, and you probably may have participated in the #NoMakeUpChallenge and now everyone is wearing pillow for the unexpected #pillowchallenge. For what may seem to be a trend, Instagram users are turning to their pillows and belt, after which they share the photos on social media.

If you asked me to wear my pillows, I’d say, “Hell no! Why would I ever do that?” I’ve got lots of gorgeous dresses in my closet, and nothing would ever make me think of wearing my sleep partner. But apparently, the situation has gone beyond control and rather than just sitting at home and be thinking about the corona pandemic, it’s okay to join the internet to try the mood-boosting activity.

Ghanaian singer, Rebecca Akosua (a.k.a Becca) joined the hotly participated challenge yesterday and completely nailed it. She even gave it a fashion-forward twist, adding an oversized Gucci logo belt, neck scarf with a vibrant, traffic-stopping red lipstick.

After I saw her gorgeous photos, I’m all like, ‘OK, let me go and slay in my pillows also’ but unfortunately, I needed someone to help me with the belt and there’s basically no one due to social distancing.’ However, the challenge is insanely cool in our eye and a round of applause to all the participants.
