Anna’s most prized piece is not an item of clothing but her work desk. It was custom-designed for her by architect and designer Alan Buchsbaum (who also created interiors for the likes of Diane Keaton and Billy Joel), shortly before his death in 1987. Side note: it has no drawers. ‘I like everything out in the open’, Wintour once said. We like the way she thinks.
